The air to water intercooler is the big ass box next to the turbo...it runs freezing methanol to a giant tub of iced methanol....Its the black tank in the spare tire well...and they iced it at the gas station buying E85 ethanol that allows them to run a crazy ignition and 30 lbs of safe boost

You’re stupid, you’re going to kill yourself and leave a 20 foot crater where you and your car once were.

1000 reliable as long as the methanol cooling loop is kept iced...

Guys, this is what us hillbillys do when running moonshine....1940 Fords run great on 200% white lightning and 12.5 compression ratio small heads. Ask my great grandfather about cammed flat head fords running straight alcohol......cops still cant keep up with cars built in that era.

I am converting my 85 vette to run on pure ethanol 200 proof moonshine. Made in my own still with the bad corn my uncle doesnt want

How are you getting 200? 190 is easy, but further drying is a pita.

I meant no engine cooling, not intake charge. It looks like the turbo is taking up the space the radiator and its associated parts would normally be. I was wondering if he moved it or if he removed it?

CTS is a big car with plenty of room for a unique shaped radiator

Copperhead road is a play on words. The copper headed stills were brought to the south by my Highland Scots ancestors

199+ in batches is dead simple with 3a sieve and distillation. More than 3 or 4 9s takes way to much work though. Ethanol with a fraction of a percent “other” is easy and pretty safe to prepare from high sugar feedstock.

Still calling bullshit on 200 proof. A copper headed pot won’t even get you to 190.

But dude says he’s getting 200 in a pot still. No reflux, no vacuum, no drying.

Kinja'd!!! Robert S. > 1111111111111111111111
01/18/2016 at 21:38

Kinja'd!!!1

Just a copper still won’t get there, but multiple runs, throwing some drying agent in the still, and careful fractioning will get you at least some ~200 after the 190 azeotrope comes across.

For the OP, Nile Red on YouTube has a vid on a simple way to do it.

Sure, I assume you have an angel investor willing to throw some cash at it/me? (If you have the equip available and some free feedstock a couple gallons can be made at low cost, beyond that it’s much cheaper to buy from people doing it at industrial scales)
